It could be argued that the name of this map stems from the meaning of the word Phobos, which the map seems to be intended to resemble. 72.49.117.53 04:48, 18 April 2008 (UTC)dethtoll

It could be, but our current explanation for the names comes from Romero himself [1], so why do we need to post speculative statements as well?    Ryan W 00:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Interesting. Both the fact that they're Bible quotes and this seeming reference could apply in conjunction; if worded properly (kind of like dethtoll said it) it would make an interesting self-evident association. If someone wants to add it, I wouldn't be against it. Who is like God? 02:37, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Short Green Pillar [BLOCKING COMPLETELY] (Multiplayer)[edit]

Opened up the my DOOM.WAD from the "Ultimate Doom CD (DOOM 95)" and had a look at E4M9.

Turns out that there's a short green pillar in the "cage" where the Baron of Hell is at...but it's flagged with Multiplayer only.

Any specific reason? If anyone else opens up the wad and takes a looksie, let me know.

Why the hell is there a short green multiplayer pillar blocking the damn switch???

Good find. I added a section about this to the article. -- Janizdreg 01:53, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Question is, should it be classed as a "bug". It looks pretty deliberate. Possibly a trap for DM given that the teleporters the player must use if they fall off the bridges leading to the maps only Plasma Rifle and Soul Sphere (the latter of which is an mp item) teleport the player inside the cage. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.163.140.31 (talkcontribs) .

You are right. I moved the section under a "Notes" header instead. -- Janizdreg 09:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
