Editing Talk:Editing tutorials (section) From DoomWiki.org Warning: You are not logged in. Your IP address will be recorded in this page's edit history. Anti-spam check. Do not fill this in! === Tutorials === We have several tutorials now. They're good but some need major style cleanups. It would be nice if each tutorial could have: * Screenshots * A demo wad showing the particular technique in use Also, I've been thinking a bit about guidelines for writing these things. It seems to me that we should make the articles be editor agnostic - so people can use the techniques regardless of what editor they use. For example, I think we should write "how to make a 3D floor" rather than "how to make a 3D floor in WadAuthor". If necessary, we can perhaps add short tutorials on how to get started using particular editors. [[User:Fraggle|Fraggle]] 10:21, 10 Feb 2005 (GMT) Fraggle, I'm attempting to give this section a sense of organization. "Editing" looks better than "Editing tutorials" (to my eye), and I hope to have the section include more than tutorials. For example, a list of valid linedefs isn't a tutorial in and of itself, but would be important editing data, and can link to actual tutorials. Also, I'd agree with editor-neutral tutorials and example wads. I'll be working to clear this section up as much as possible. I'm also going to attempt to get as much editing info on the more popular sourceports as I can, and place it here in the wiki.
