Did it really use the source code? I thought it was just dehacked work... Draconio 00:18, 5 May 2005 (UTC) :Probably did. I imagine some skilled DeHackEr converted all the changes to the source to a DeHackEd patch when it was released for free. Bloodshedder 00:51, 5 May 2005 (UTC) AS I recall it, it used dehacked. I even recall opening the Hacx exe in dehacked and that wouldn't be possible if it was hardcoded. What they did was probably what I did with my Exe for the TC I made between 1994-1997. I made all the work in dehacked and then made a few changes in a hex editor to change some things I couldn't do in dehacked (the quit game messages). Either way, the page states that it could use the source because it was released, but the source was released after Hacx was. --Kristus 13:16, 28 May 2005 (UTC) Hacx 1.2 isn't really 'Vanilla compatible' though, due to a Doom Builder 3D start on Map06. On that subject, perhaps mention should be given to the small slip up in the Decorate included in the wad that means the Stealth doesn't spawn on the ceiling in ports that use the Decorate to build the things? --Vermil (unsigned) 02:43, 2 March 2012 (UTC) == Custom things mapping == At long last, the doomwiki articles and DeHackEd lumps have allowed me to create this custom things mapping file for DMMPST (TSV format):
# class thingID wikiname wikilink 0 84 Roaming mine ~ 0 3004 Thug ~ 0 9 Android ~ 0 67 Phage ~ 0 81 Phage (statue) Phage 0 3002 Buzzer ~ 0 58 Stealth ~ 0 3001 ICE ~ 0 3006 D-Man ~ 0 71 Majong 7 ~ 0 65 Monstruct ~ 0 34 Monstruct (statue) Monstruct 0 3003 Terminatrix ~ 0 68 Thorn thing ~ 0 69 Mechamaniac ~ 2 2005 Hoig Reznator ~ 2 2001 Tazer ~ 2 82 Cryogun ~ 2 2002 Uzi ~ 2 2003 Photon 'zooka ~ 2 2004 Stick ~ 2 2006 Nuker ~ 3 2007 Rounds ~ 3 2048 Case of rounds ~ 3 2008 Cartridges ~ 3 2049 Case of cartridges ~ 3 2010 Torpedo ~ 3 2046 Case of torpedoes ~ 3 2047 Molecule module ~ 3 17 Molecule tank ~ 4 2011 Inhaler ~ 4 2012 Hypo ~ 4 2018 Kevlar vest ~ 4 2019 Super kevlar vest ~ 5 2015 Dampener ~ 5 2014 Microkit ~ 5 2013 Cenotrophexine ~ 5 83 Body armor ~ 5 8 Valise ~ 5 2023 007Microtel ~ 5 2026 SI array ~ 5 2022 Force field Force field (Hacx) 5 2045 Light amplifier goggles ~ 5 2024 Enk blind ~ 5 2025 Vulcan rubber boots ~ 6 5 KeyCard ~ 6 40 Blue Z-Key ~ 6 13 Password ~ 6 38 Red Z-Key ~ 6 6 C-Key ~ 6 39 Yellow Z-Key ~ 7 2035 Nitro canister ~ 7 45 Electron ~ 7 41 Pulsar ~ 8 3005 Breaking glass ~ 8 41 Invisible explosion ~
Please let me know any improvements/corrections. Due to Hacx's turbulent development, however, the level count was slashed and the order muddied up. In my opinion, It would be quite useful to have this written down on the main page. Beijing is relatively close to all these locations (if we assume "Digi-Ota" is Beijing and Danny never went backward, then it makes sense for him to travel such a long distance. * The text screen after "Notus Us!" explicitly mentions Paris. * "Protean Sybex" and "River of Blood" prominently showcase the Great Pyramids of Giza. Unfortunately, they seem to have exaggerated the amount of pyramids, alongside adding the Taj Mahal, Saint Basil's Cathedral, and the Lincoln Memorial. * You can see the White House out of the window in "The War Rooms", which is a pretty explicit confirmation of Washington D.C.
