Info from Kevin Schilder[edit]

Kevin Schilder sent me a lot of information about Hexen's music, and I figured it should be shared here. The titles given in the "name" column really are the working titles he gave the song, and he said they were intentionally cryptic, with many simply being named for the level they would end up on. These are mostly but not completely the same as the lump names they were given with an "r" appended -- apparently Kevin had no input as to what the lump names ended up as based on what he told me.--Quasar 07:14, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Interesting stuff! I recently dug out the Hexen CD, as I was convinced that one of the tracks was very similar to New Order - In A Lonely Place. I couldn't pin down any track that really felt the same once I did that though. -- Jdowland 17:19, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

CD tracks[edit]

Could someone add the CD track# information to these rows, too?BlackTerror 17:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Added the CD track numbers for songs which had equivalent CD audio, ripped straight from MAPINFO. BTW, I know Deathkings reuses Hexen's music, but was any CD audio on the Deathkings disc? —68k 08:58, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Level 42[edit]

Did Kevin Schilder ever say which Level 42 bassline inspired "Level"? To my ears, it resembles "The Chinese Way" the most. Lionel Spanner (talk) 12:59, 5 February 2021 (CST)

Unfortunately no. I once spent several hours listening to what was probably most of their extant discography on YouTube once and never found it. --Quasar (talk) 21:51, 5 February 2021 (CST)
