In the Doom engine, hitscan attacks are limited to 2048 units. I know ZDoom removes this limit, but I don't know about other ports. It might be an arbitrary limitation, or it might be a creative decision. [[User:Bloodshedder|Bloodshedder]] 03:50, 9 May 2005 (UTC) | In the Doom engine, hitscan attacks are limited to 2048 units. + | This may be a stupid question, but if the range is really 2048 units, then it should be possible to kill the sniping sergeant on MAP15 of WADFATHR.WAD from Maximum Doom. Try as I might, however, I cannot hit him. Does the vertical auto-aiming stop working after 1024 units, or what? [[User:Ryan W|Ryan W]] 23:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC) |
