Not sure what causes this, but I've had vanilla Hexen lock up on this level a few times (no error message or bomb to DOS, it just freezes) and I'm wondering if it's something map specific (something with the level construction?  weird ACS?) or if it's just coincidence that some non-map-specific bug manifested here. -- ETTiNGRiNDER (talk) 03:58, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

: Hard to say without a lot more information or being able to maybe capture it in a debugger if the problem can be replicated in Chocolate Hexen. Hexen has a large number of very bad memory corruption errors, illegal operations, undefined behaviors, etc. These regularly manifest as Z_Malloc/Z_Free/Z_CheckHeap errors, music randomly becoming distorted or ceasing to play, ACS scripts not running or not having the intended effects... you name it, it can happen, especially in the wild world of DOS where it's allowed to write to whatever addresses it feels like. --Quasar (talk) 18:38, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Is there a bug with this map (vanilla)?[edit]

Not sure what causes this, but I've had vanilla Hexen lock up on this level a few times (no error message or bomb to DOS, it just freezes) and I'm wondering if it's something map specific (something with the level construction? weird ACS?) or if it's just coincidence that some non-map-specific bug manifested here. -- ETTiNGRiNDER (talk) 03:58, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Hard to say without a lot more information or being able to maybe capture it in a debugger if the problem can be replicated in Chocolate Hexen.
