I remember an old level where the end sector was the same as the end sector of E1M8, but it was not ExM8. So I remember beginning the next level with 100 health, no armor and only fists and pistol. Am I right? Ducon 10:51, 25 Feb 2005 (GMT)

That can certainly be done, at least in Doom.  The map that comes to mind is Plutonia 11.    Ryan W 02:10, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Addendum: My own testing on Plutonia 11 seemed to show that you started the next level with all your weapons and ammo, but extremely low health.  Other people disagree, however, and claim exactly the result you describe.    Ryan W 11:33, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Megasphere[edit]

in som modern source ports, at least Zdaemon and prboom, the Megasphere can only be picked up when the player is under 200% health and/or armor.

Hmmm.  That's a bug, then — it makes it harder to get 100% items on certain levels than it would be in vanilla.    Ryan W 20:00, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
I tested this on MAP06: The Crusher with PrBoom 2.4.1, but it didn't happen.    Ryan W 23:00, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Names[edit]

In my opinion in-game names should be used here and for the item article names rather than the names given in manuals, mainly because it's what someone playing the games sees all the time. The manual names should be noted in each item's description, of course. Who is like God? 15:04, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Doom 3[edit]

The subject of Doom 3 probably *should* be covered here (I reverted several low-quality edits that I did not have the patience to rework), but it should be done accurately and thoroughly. Do not mix Doom 3 information into the Doom section (mentioning PDAs alongside Doom's keycards is not appropriate), and do not make false claims such as "Doom 3 has ALL the items from Doom" - that's demonstrably false. --SpiderMastermind (talk) 12:29, 15 September 2015 (CDT)
