I remember, a long time ago, reading a forum post that showed how one of Doom's textures had been carried over into Quake II and possibly the original Quake. It was [http://iddqd.ru/doom/textures/original/rock4.jpg this texture], RW35_1, a tiling rock wall texture. As far as I remember it was the only resource that was used in both Doom and the finished version of Quake. I assume it came from a CDROM of stock textures.
