Talk:Quietus

Quietus nameEdit

"The swords name comes from Quintessence, alchemy's theorized 5th element (also called Aether) after the traditional Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth."

Unless this has been directly stated by the developer, this is almost certainly untrue. Quietus is a Latin word meaning "to be at rest." For instance, the Latin phrase "quietus est" means "(he/she/it) is at rest." Did not edit the page directly in case this is a mistake on the part of the developer and not the wiki editors.

See definition here: [1]. It's essentially a loftier version of naming it something like "Death Bringer". (And probably a Shakespeare reference as well, given "Yorick's Skull".) - ETTiNGRiNDER 21:10, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
