I don't want to edit the section with the help of these observations, as it could be that some unknown factors were ignored. Instead, I'd leave editing to a person who masters the source code. --[[User:Jartapran|Jartapran]] ([[User talk:Jartapran|talk]]) 16:07, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

There is another important use of the VooDoo Doll and that is to give a weapon to the player. The VooDoo is one a lift and when it lowers and collects the weapon it is placed in yoru hand.

This is used in Plutonia - MAP06 - "Baron's Lair" to give weapons initially when approaching the central flaoting box-like skull. The Voodoo Doll is located near the original cluster of revenants on starting

Also used in TNT, Evilution - MAP18, "Mill". There are 2 Voodoo Doll's

Leaving the Central Area give you the Chain Gun, IIRC Entering the final arena where the CyberDemon, gives you the plasma gun

ZDoom[edit]

This seems to differ in ZDoom... I was playing Plutonia on line (2 player) and when we got to Map 06, I (player 1) started as undead, but my partner didn't. I asked him to kill me, but when I restarted, I couldn't get the weapons from the center skullbox. Any idea of why this happens? I think ZDoom prevents Player Start things to be stacked, causing the player to start like an undead... any ideas? hfc2x 21:45, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Dubious issue[edit]

You said you saw something you didn't like here, Jartapran? --Quasar (talk) 15:58, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

"Conversely, if the voodoo doll is damaged to the point of reducing the player's health to zero without killing the voodoo doll, a new class of undead player occurs. Like the other case, the player drops their weapon." "Monsters who were already pursuing the player continue to do so, but other monsters cannot target the player until their health becomes 1% or higher."
I find the bolded section problematic. It seems to be true that inactive monsters who are behind closed structures (doors etc.) cannot target the player. However, the inactive deaf-flagged monsters who are in the same sound area where the player entered the undead state can target the player once they see him. I don't want to edit the section with the help of these observations, as it could be that some unknown factors were ignored. Instead, I'd leave editing to a person who masters the source code. --Jartapran (talk) 16:07, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
