The teleporter beacon is an item from Strife. When deployed it will spawn a number of friendly Front soldiers who will attack hostile enemies.

Once deployed, a beacon can be picked up if no solders have teleported in yet, or if they are unable to spawn because there is insufficient space around the beacon. Using the teleporter beacon does not appear to set off any alarms, however monsters that have been alerted by the soldiers will also attack the player.

Up to three beacons can be held in the player's inventory at a time. They can be purchased from Justin in the Front's castle base for 75 gold each; he will enthusiastically recommend the beacon to the player when spoken to.
