Who?[edit]

Hi, I'm elf-alchemist. I've been a fan of Classic Doom since circa 2020, and this game and its community have changed my life.

  • My favorite source port is Woof
  • Master Levels apologist
  • Resident wannabe occultist
  • Fan of Alchemy and such esoteric traditions
  • Former member of the DOSBox Deathmatch Club Discord community
  • Former admin and project leader at the Hell Keep Discord community -- present on Itch.io and ModDB
  • Owner and team lead of the "Mount Erebus" Discord server community

Where?[edit]

The following are my own social media accounts, and other assorted pages, where I may or may not post about the projects I've contributed to, or talk about other people's projects that I enjoy.

What?[edit]

I've made contributions to the following currently released projects

  • Bloodsport, in which I ported the original DEHEXTRA version of the added decoration Things and modified Weapons over to DECORATE
  • Minor code contributions to Woof!, over on the official GitHub page [1].
  • Boom-family Feature Set Specification Project, since prior to MBF21 and ID24, most source ports would have very little outside of their own code to document their intended behavior, this effort aims to improve the documentation on these historically under-documented features, while also setting a better precedence for documenting and specifying similar additions to source ports in the future. Not only serving as strong documentation for mappers and modders, but also to help the development of any port that isn't "genealogically-related" to the Boom/MBF lineage.
  • Weapon Carousel Icons Appreciation (DW Thread and GitHub Repo), a mini-project dedicated to the eponymous feature, primarily oriented to highlight and promote the creation of these custom graphics for various PWADs.
  • Doom Cross-port Collab member, I hope to help actively developed source ports to improve and maintain cross-port compatibility. Involving documentation, testing, writing code and all that is entailed to make sure that any port-agnostic Doom WAD run properly and consistently on as many ports as possible.

Why?[edit]

I just love this game :D
