What can you say? Doom is one of the best first-person shooter games, and it's very fun to kill creatures, find secrets, and beat bosses at the end of the episodes. The only not-so-fun thing about this game, in my opinion, is just "Nightmare!" mode. Other than that, this is a great first-person shooter series, and I definetly reccomend trying it out if you never have.
