Importance of leadsEdit

When editing core articles, please be sure to not revert changes we've been working on that differentiate our content from the old wiki. Check the edit history; the wording of our major articles like Strife have already been carefully adjusted numerous times to try to make them distinguishable. The absolute most important text on the page is the first sentence, followed by the rest of the first paragraph. This text is naturally used by search engines as high priority content, and is additionally deliberately selected by our SEO extensions to function as the meta description tag and twitter card description fields in the HTML. In the particular case of Strife, reversing my selection of alternative vocabulary for "created" to "developed" would reduce the page rank. --Quasar (talk) 00:55, 1 August 2015 (CDT)

I had no idea I was reverting anything, I just changed the text to something I thought sounded better/more accurate without first checking the revision history. It never occurred to me that there was a reason to visit the bad wiki, I'll use it as a reference to avoid accidental similarities and be more careful in the future.
