Vanilla Sky is a single-level PWAD for Doom II, meant for limit-removing source ports that was released on 1 July 2013. It was created by DooMknight and uses the music track "". This map was created as part of the 12th Cabro's Map Tournament from Arcades3d.com, with the rules being to stick to the classic Doom mapping format and avoid the use of any custom textures.

Vanilla Sky is set in an extremely large city, similarly to DooMknight's previous map Europe released in 2005. It uses vanilla textures in very creative ways, notably with the creation of vehicles through sector detail. DooMknight would go on to release one more similarly massive map in 2018, UAC Invasion: The Supply Depot, which won one of the 25th annual Cacowards.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the hall connecting to the yellow keycard with the skull switches, use the middle one on the south wall to find a soul sphere. (sector 7611)
  2. In the T-shaped hall, open the east door and look south to find a skull switch with glowing eyes. Shoot it (you will need the spread of the super shotgun to hit it), then head back to the T-shaped hall and take the south door. Head east to find a medikit, a box of ammo, energy cells, and a plasma gun (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 8606)
  3. At the terminal to the train station, take the red steps down. In the hallway you find, go to the middle and use the north wall with inverted colors as opposed to the other walls to find a backpack. (sector 10607)
  4. Head down the train tracks, passing by a red train to the right, until near the end of that train. Open the west door to get a chaingun, a box of ammo, a super shotgun, a box of shotgun shells, a rocket launcher, a box of rockets, a medikit, and a megaarmor. (sector 10665)
  5. Head to the harbor and open the southeast garage door to find energy cells, a BFG9000, a megaarmor, ammo, a medikit, a soul sphere, and a rocket launcher. (sector 11082)
