1000 Line Community Project is a 34-level vanilla-compatible megawad for Doom II. All included levels have no more than 1000 linedefs, with the exception of MAP34: Bad Treatment, with 1002. The project was spearheaded by Philip Brown (Liberation) and development began in January 2019. The project was uploaded to the /idgames archive on 23 April, 2019.
The concept would be further explored in two additional entries for this series: 1000 Lines 2 - Community Project released in September 2020 and 1000 Lines 3: Community Project, released in November 2021.
Story[edit]
You emerge from the ruins of your destroyed home, pistol in hand and in utter despair. The alien hordes have poured all over your once beautiful city and have killed everyone that could not be evacuated in time; it seems your the last human alive.
You look towards the city centre, something appears to be happening there; however, you will have fight through the city suburbs first. If you can make it, then perhaps you can stop the invasion?

Soundtrack[edit]
1. ^ By default, the music of any MAP34 will use that of the title screen. In this case, this is a very short loop, and is changed for ports with MAPINFO support to the intermission theme (ZDoom-based engines) or the text screen theme (Eternity Engine). |
