1000 Lines 2 - Community Project is a 34-level vanilla-compatible megawad for Doom II. It is the sequel to 2019's 1000 Line Community Project. Like its predecessor, all included levels have no more than 1000 linedefs. The project was again spearheaded by Philip Brown (Liberation) and development began in January 2020, this time utilising a vanilla-compatible version of the OTEX texture pack, compiled by Brown. The project also features a semi-original soundtrack, with a number of bespoke music tracks contributed by Brayden Hart (AD_79) alongside existing MIDIs pulled from various other sources. The project was uploaded to the /idgames archive on 1 September, 2020.
Another installment in the series, titled 1000 Lines 3: Community Project, was released in November 2021.
Story[edit]
After the last battle you found yourself being dragged through a portal to god knows where; your first stop is an industrial world that has long since fallen to the hordes of Hell... Time to grab that pistol (again) and get to work.
Hopefully you can make it back to Earth.

1. ^ By default, the music of any MAP34 will use that of the title screen. In this case, this is a very short loop, and is changed for ports with MAPINFO support to the music for MAP11. |
