100 Line Massacre is a 35-level megawad by NinjaDelphox and Andrik Powell (Arsinikk) designed to be compatible with DOOM2.EXE.

It was released in April 2022 featuring alternating map authors with NinjaDelphox's heavy emphasis on challenge and combat mixing with Arsinikk's more experimental maps of vanilla tricks and exploits. The maps are smallish in size, with a focus on nice-looking line-limited maps with hard-to-slaughter map type gameplay. It features some minor DeHackEd changes with a tweaked palette and colormap.

Half of the soundtrack was composed by Arsinikk, with the other tracks taken from various sources.

A new skill level "Vile Cruelty" is available in ZDoom-based ports and accessible from DSDA-Doom and PrBoom+ via the -coop_spawns or -solo-net command-line parameters. Like the Doom Classic Unity port's new "Ultra-Violence Plus" difficulty mode, "Vile Cruelty" adds multiplayer items and monsters for a more intense experience. A Doom Classic Unity port specific version of the megawad is available on the Doomworld forums thread.

100 Line Massacre received an honorable mention at the Cacowards 2022.

Story[edit]

"The Earth has been mangled and twisted into a shell of its former self. Demons have ravished and desecrated our once beautiful planet. You set out on a quest to purge the demonic infestation and reclaim what once belonged to humanity. Will you succeed in your mission or will you die a grisly death forever damning the world?"

Custom monsters[edit]

Impostor imp (IMPostor)
Similar to the Strain 'Class 2 Imp', these monsters appear identical to the standard imp, differentiated only by a higher-pitched alert noise. They move incredibly fast. Attacks begin with a brief pause, however unlike 'Class 2 Imps', they move right after firing. Their fire and melee attacks are that similar of a Hell knight. They're able to infight with regular imps. They replace the Commander Keen. Only seen in MAP10: The Impostor and in multiplayer of MAP31: Marble Carousel.
Hanging marine
A hanging reskin of a Commander Keen that screams and explodes when killed. Unlike Commander Keen, the hanged marine does not count towards the kill count allowing for maps including it to be able to be completed in no monsters mode. They replace the SS Trooper and therefore drop a clip upon death. Only seen in MAP30: Fuck.
