Altair2 is a single-level PWAD for Doom II, designed by Kenneth E. Chirko and released in August 1996.

It is the sequel to the previous year's Altair1 and was followed by Altair3a.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. At the six lifts, take the east ones up and open the middle wall to the east, then the next one to get a super shotgun. (sector 191)
  2. Take the left lifts of the six lifts and follow the passage to the north end. Open the black wall to get a box of ammo and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 71)
  3. Head east from the soul sphere and open a wall with a vent to get a backpack. (sector 77)
  4. At the south set of lifts, take the northern ones down and open the northeast wall. Follow the path all the way to a megasphere. (sector 209)
  5. Head south from the room with the megasphere and open the misaligned wall to the south to get energy cells. (sector 194)
  6. At the south set of lifts, take the southern ones down and open the southwest wall. Run across the nukage to get a plasma gun. Note that if you fall, you will take damage until the level ends. (sector 231)
  7. At the east corridor, you will see partial invisibility to the south. Open the north wall, flip the switch, then continue east and take the east corridor to get to the partial invisibility, which you can lower with a switch. (sector 295)
