Altair3a is a large single-level PWAD for Doom II designed by Kenneth E. Chirko and released in September 1996.

It is the sequel to Altair2 and the last entry in the short-lived series.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. After entering the northeast room, return to the east side of the map and enter the lava pit at the northwest side. Fall into the hole and flip a switch to get up to energy cells (the amount depends on your skill level). (sector 282)
  2. Go to the other lava pit in the southwest part of the east area and fall into another hole to get shotgun shells and a plasma gun. (sector 265)
  3. Open the green wall in Secret #2 to get shotgun shells (Ultra-Violence or higher). Open another green wall to get more shotgun shells (Hurt Me Plenty or higher). (sector 928)
  4. At the southeast corridor, open the wall with the skull, then the one with the face to get a radiation suit. (sector 296)
  5. When you take the teleporter past the southeast lava area, turn around and use the switch. Shoot the next one and use the lift to get boxes of rockets (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 316)
  6. At the southwest nukage, head south and to a green wall. Open it for a secret passage where you can head left for an energy cell. (sector 639)
  7. Head east from Secret #6 and you will see a caged area. Head further east and drop down a hole to the north. Head west and open the green wall to get an energy cell and rockets (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 636)
  8. Use the north switch in Secret #7 and shoot the switch to the south. Run back east to the next wall that opens for this secret. (sector 718)
  9. In the yellow key area, fall into the east pit and take the teleporter to get rockets and energy cells. (sector 305)
  10. Re-enter the teleporter in Secret #9 to get on a pillar with an invulnerability. (sector 631)
  11. Jump northeast from Secret #10 to get a box of rockets (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 630)
  12. Jump northwest from Secret #11 to get an energy cell (Ultra-Violence or higher). (sector 629)
