BH_BZ: Neoscape - Battle Zone is a map from The Space Pirate: First Hunt demo's Bounty Hunters mode. It was designed by Carlos Sanchez (Cardboard Marty) and uses the music track "Sylenth Assassin (for Battle Zone)" by Blue Vertigo.

Map layout[edit]

Battle Zone is divided into four primary quadrants. The player starts in the northwest quadrant with the option to explore the other areas. A linked portal connects the southwest quadrant to the southeast section of the map, allowing the player to move between the two areas seamlessly. The map encourages players to move around as monsters will continually spawn in the arena around the player. Falling from the upper map level to the lower floor will teleport the player to the center of the respective quadrant.

Trivia[edit]

  • The map primarily uses textures from Diabolus Ex.
  • The map features a custom shader designed to simulate the appearance of a reflective surface. This is primarily to mitigate the performance issues associated with the utilization of a genuine reflective floor in GZDoom.
