The Berserk pickup

Berserk is a power-up which occurs in Doom Eternal, taking the form of a flaming red sphere containing a skull. Similar to the Berserk item from the previous game, when collected the player's HUD is surrounded with red electrical sparks and their current weapon is replaced with the Doom Slayer's armored fists; however, they will gain a burst of super-strength for 15 seconds that allows them to kill any demon within melee range with a single hit, allowing for unique kills that frequently result in demons being ripped apart.

The Berserk is the rarest power-up in Doom Eternal, and only occurs in two locations:

1. In the ARC Complex level, under the trench in the middle of Mario's Restaurant (in both the regular and Master Level versions of this stage).
2. In the Master Level version of Super Gore Nest, immediately after finding the blue gore key.

The power-up's timer stops while a demon is being killed; however, it should be saved for heavy demons as much as possible as they require more ammunition to kill, and fodder demons will keep respawning until all heavy opposition is dead.

Kills made using the berserk power-up are affected by the Blood Fueled and Seek and Destroy runes; the first rune grants increased speed following a kill, and the second allows kills to be initiated from further away.

Cheat code

The Berserk cheat code can be found in the Urdak level; when activated it grants a permanent Berserk effect for the entire level. However, it can only be used in the Hell on Earth, Exultia, Super Gore Nest, ARC Complex and Mars Core levels.

The Berserk cheat cannot be used in Part One or Part Two of The Ancient Gods, and the powerup does not appear in those expansions.

Berserk kills

Being ambient demons, tentacles, cueballs and buff totems do not have Berserk-specific kills; however, a tentacle can be destroyed with one normal punch.

Demon	Kills
Arachnotron	The Slayer delivers a left hook to the arachnotron's face, followed by a right hook that destroys its brain. From above, the Slayer lands on the arachnotron, digs both hands into the middle of its brain and pulls the brain apart.
Baron of Hell	The Slayer punches off the baron's left leg, then delivers a right hook to its body. From above, the Slayer stomps on the baron's head and crushes it.
Blaster and shield soldiers	The Slayer grabs the soldier's face and pulls until its head comes off. From above, the Slayer stomps on the soldier's head and completely pulverizes it.
Cacodemon	The Slayer delivers a hard kick that sends the (somewhat surprised) cacodemon somersaulting backwards.
Carcass	The Slayer sends the carcass flying backwards with a hard kick. From above, the Slayer destroys the carcass's head with a left punch.
Doom hunter	The Slayer knocks the hunter's head off with a left punch, then smashes its torso with a right punch. (The sled must be destroyed first, but this can be done with a single punch.) From above, the Slayer stomps on the hunter's head with enough force to completely obliterate it.
Dread knight	The Slayer punches the knight's head off with a right hook, then destroys the rest of the body with a left hook to the torso. From above, the Slayer stomps on the knight's head and crushes it.
Gargoyle	The Slayer grabs the gargoyle's head with both hands and pulls until it is torn in two. From above, the Slayer stomps on the gargoyle with enough force to completely crush it.
Hell knight	The Slayer punches the knight in the side with enough force to separate its legs from its torso, then punches the torso aside with a right hook while it is still in mid-air, causing its head to come off. From above, the Slayer stomps on the knight's head and completely pulverizes it.
Imp	The Slayer grabs the imp by its left shoulder and right leg, then pulls until the imp is ripped into two pieces. From above, the Slayer stomps on the imp's head and completely pulverizes it.
Mancubus and cyber-mancubus	The Slayer punches the mancubus in the face with a left hook, then delivers a punch to its heart that causes the demon to explode. From above, the Slayer knocks the mancubus to the ground then obliterates its head with a single punch before it can scream.
Marauder	The Slayer punches off both of the marauder's arms, then finishes it off with a punch to the face. From above, the Slayer stomps on the marauder's head and crushes it.
Mecha zombie	The Slayer sticks both hands into the zombie's chest and pulls its entire body into two pieces. From above, the Slayer stomps on the zombie's chest and completely pulverizes it.
Pain elemental	The Slayer delivers a single hard punch that causes the elemental to fly backwards and explode.
Pinky and spectre	The Slayer delivers a left hook to the pinky's face, followed by a right hook that knocks its head off. From above, the Slayer lands on the pinky, digs both hands into the pinky's head and pulls it apart until it is completely torn in two.
Prowler	The Slayer smashes both fists into the sides of the prowler's head, crushing it. From above, the Slayer stomps on the prowler's head and crushes it.
Revenant	The Slayer kicks off the revenant's left leg, then punches it in the face with a right hook. From above, the Slayer stomps on the revenant's head and completely pulverizes it.
Tyrant	The Slayer punches off the tyrant's right leg with a right hook, punches off its left leg with a left hook, and then punches the demon's torso with a right hook causing it to fly backwards. From above, the Slayer jumps on top of the tyrant and punches it twice as it falls before stomping its head and crushing it.
Whiplash	The Slayer grabs the whiplash's horn with his left hand and pulls until its head comes off. From above, the Slayer stomps on the whiplash's head and completely pulverizes it.
Zombie	The Slayer grabs the zombie's shoulders and pulls until it is ripped in half down the middle. The Slayer pulls the zombie's left shoulder apart, creating a large tear down its torso. From above, the Slayer stomps on the zombie's head and completely pulverizes it.
