Bloody Rust is a six-level PWAD for Doom II designed for limit removing source ports, created as a result of a community project led by Micah Petersen (Jaws in Space) and originally FireFish on Doomworld forums. The project was started by FireFish on March 31, 2015. Jaws in Space took over as project leader in January 2016 after FireFish was banned from the forums and work on the project stalled. The first version was released on February 9, 2016. After some bugfixing the final version was uploaded to the idgames archive on February 13, 2016. The WAD was updated in April 2017. A sequel, Bloody Rust 2, was released in 2017.

Trivia[edit]

  • The project was originally supposed to include more maps, but some of them, for various reasons, did not make it into the final version. One such map was created by Jon Vail (40oz). Due to Bloody Rust's development stalling, he released it separately as MAP07: Bunker Base of Mutiny.
