Boaty McBoatwad is a 16-level Boom-compatible megawad created by members of the Doomworld community. Spearhead by Alex Scott (Scotty), it was inspired by the The Top 25 Sector Ships of All Time thread created by James Paddock (Jimmy). The setting of the megawad is themed around boats, either as a main playable area, decoration, or something else, as long as it includes one, or various, boats of some kind. The final version of the megawad was uploaded to the idgames archive on December 21, 2020. It received an honorable mention at the Cacowards in 2021.
