Brownian Emotions is a single-level PWAD for Doom II and PrBoom+ or other Boom-compatible source ports. It was designed by apichatpong and uses the music track "Dungeon 4" by Eric Heberling, from The Elder Scrolls: Arena. It was initially released on May 1, 2025, and also includes two outro levels, MAP02: "You Suffer" and MAP03: "Thanks for Playing !".

At the Cacowards in 2025, Brownian Emotions received an honorable mention.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Climb up the first set of steps, then at the top, go just east of them, and go on the outside of the fence as you head east, all the way to the beige pillars. Go across them for a backpack. (sector 1260)
  2. After the first set of steps, head to the northwest area and take the lift to the northwest switch. Go along the thin wall going south and behind the crates to get a berserk pack. (sector 1095)
  3. Once you go underground, head east to the sludge and find a small button on the north wall. Use it to open a cave behind you with a rocket launcher and a box of rockets (Hurt Me Plenty only) or a box of shotgun shells (other skill levels). (sector 813)
  4. Take the first lift underground, but instead of entering the square, head east and over the platforms and stalagmite to the northeast. Head northwest and climb the mountain to get a megaarmor. (sector 970)
  5. From Secret #4, get onto the thin wall just north of the square, then move east along it. You need to go on the high rock just north of the thin wall. When you get on it, jump into the hole and use the brown wall to the south to find a teleporter to a plasma gun and energy cell packs (Hurt Me Plenty only), another rocket launcher and boxes of rockets (Ultra-Violence or higher), along with a soul sphere. (sector 1871)
  6. Enter the dark hall west of the rocket launcher and take the lift up to a computer room. Use the buttons on the left side of the computer, then take the lift back down and head back to the rocket launcher room. The northwest and southwest columns have lowered, containing a megasphere on the south one on Hurt Me Plenty or lower or a soul sphere and a megaarmor on both on Ultra-Violence or higher. (sector 1733)
  7. When you return outside on the west side, before dropping down, maneuver onto the rocks to the east. You will have to straferun west, continuing to climb on the rocks above the entrance and getting to the west side of the entrance. Climb up to a small canal of nukage, then follow it west and all the way north to get a computer area map. (sector 2273)
  8. In the center of the outside area, cross to the rocks east of the brown bridge and climb upwards. Find a candle and strafejump south to the nukage. Find some tiny steps on the north wall and use them to climb up to the east, then head southwest and further west to find, first, the yellow keycard, then an area with armor bonuses, medikits, and ammo. (sector 1193)
  9. Get the blue keycard, then go underground past the red skull key barrier. Head northwest at the fork, then in the next room, use the northwest wall. Use the blue switch at the end, then use it again to teleport to a BFG9000. (sector 305)
  10. At the east bridge, cross to the north side, climb some steps, then get on a tiny triangle on the right side, you'll find a tiny ledge leading to the top ledge of the structure surrounding the nukage and the bridge. Walk on it then jump down to the platform that has two arachnotrons and a megasphere. You can also jump southeast to it from the red skull key platform. (sector 3617)
  11. At the east bridge, cross to the north side, climb some steps, then get on a tiny triangle on the left side. Use this to jump northwest onto the highest ledge possible. Follow this ledge south and southwest, but when the ledge bends southeast, gently drop to the west while hugging the north wall. You will go onto a thinner ledge. Follow it all the way to a bright section at the end, and hug the wall as you touch this section to teleport to an invulnerability. (sector 4202)
  12. Head southwest from the red keycard switch, going all the way southwest, then east. Hug the fence as you continue all the way east to a soul sphere. (sector 2910)
