Cabro's Legacy is a Doom II megawad of 40 maps, first released on April 14, 2016. It is a compilation of maps released over the years for tournaments hosted on La Página de Cabro as well as Arcades3D.org, two popular sites accepting map submissions from the Spanish Doom community. These "tournaments" of map submissions ran from 2000 to 2015, and in most cases saw the result of three ranked winners for the best map submissions of the year. Authors who submitted maps include well known mappers from the Spanish-speaking world such as Pablo Dictter, Eye del Cul, Aluqah, DooMknight, and several others.
While some of the maps have seen stand-alone releases on the /idgames archive, many remained unpublished and virtually unknown until all winners, regardless of rank, were grouped together under and released as part of this megawad. Thus, Cabro's Legacy represents some of the most notable and well received work from this section of the Doom community. Cabro's Legacy has a hub map where any of the maps can be selected in whatever order the player wishes, and the package also includes the original .txt files and other information on the authors and work contained within. While the maps remain largely unchanged from their original releases, certain enhancements were added in some cases such as new music tracks or skies. Although built for ZDoom and containing a hub map, the maps themselves do not rely on ZDoom features.
