City of Ry'uul is the fifteenth level of Doom: The Dark Ages. The Doom Slayer rides The Old One into the Cosmic Realm, where he can begin his search for Commander Thira and Bishop Kreed.
The cosmic baron and acolyte are introduced as enemies in this level. The dreadmace is introduced as a weapon. It uses the music tracks "Cosmic Sea" as ambience and during light combat, and "Into the Void" as heavy combat music.

Lore[edit]
The Cosmic Realm is a dimension of dread where reality warps and sanity falters. It is a realm of blackened seas, impossible structures, skies that churn with unknown colors and titanic beings that defy comprehension. The Oracles of Argent theorize that the Elemental Wraiths may have originated in this realm.
