Creating Doom WADs

One of the main reasons for Doom's survival up to this day, is the ability to create and share user-made content. There are many editors that can achieve this, but only a select few are considered modern.

Programs for making a Doom WAD

There are many programs available for this process. Here some of the common ones:

• Ultimate Doom Builder
• SLADE
• Doom Builder X
• Eureka

Using the program

The first step is to set up all your resources, such as IWADs, CFGs and PWADs. To use a program, there are tutorials usually available in the program or on its website.
