Cyberdreams is a 1998 megawad by Gonzalo Pérez de la Ossa and Albert Valls. It is well known for featuring puzzles involving cyberdemons in each level, which the player is forced to solve without the use of weapons.

Overview[edit]

In all levels the pistol and fist are the only available weapons, and nearly all levels require the player to kill the cyberdemons. This can be achieved either by telefragging, or activating some type of crusher. Most levels require the player to press switches while under fire from the cyberdemon's rockets, or to dodge rockets while waiting for a crusher to destroy the cyberdemons.

The WAD comes with a DeHackEd patch that needs to be loaded for the WAD to function as intended. It changes the texts displayed on the text screens as well as modifying the starting ammo of the pistol, and also transforms several of the standard monsters into copies of the cyberdemon, though none of these are used in any of the levels, while two others are turned into hidden sound sources. Additionally, all cheat codes are altered, rendering the standard codes useless – for instance, the warp cheat is jetpac rather than idclev.
