Into The Storm is a ten-level episode replacement for Doom II designed for limit removing source ports, created by various members of the Doomer Boards community, led by SuperCupcakeTactics. It is the 12th entry in the ongoing Doomer Boards Projects. Work on the project was carried out during May 2019. It was first released on Doomer Boards on June 4, 2019, and uploaded to the idgames archive on June 13 of the same year. The mapset features an "aurora borealis" blue gothic theme that was originally developed by Jon Vail (40oz) as a potential theme for DBP04.

Content

The mod uses an embedded DEHACKED lump to change level names. Custom status bar is also included.

Trivia

• The intermission screen is taken from the cover of Blind Guardian's 1998 album, Nightfall in Middle-Earth, which contains the song "Into the Storm", which the project takes its name from. A MIDI of the song is featured in MAP09: Gothic Thunder.
