Cyb's Freaky Colonoscopy is a 12-level episode replacement for Doom II designed for limit removing source ports, created by various members of the Doomer Boards community, led by Big Ol' Billy. It is the 16th entry in the ongoing Doomer Boards Projects. Work on the project was carried out during September 2019. It was first released on Doomer Boards on October 5, 2019,[1] and was selected as one of the runners-up at the 2019 Cacowards. The mapset is themed around exploring the nether regions of a cyberdemon, for medical purposes.
Content[edit]
Custom monsters[edit]
- Lil' shit
- This brown monster replaces the Wolfenstein SS and features a charge attack, similar to that of the lost soul but grounded. On death, it drops a health bonus.
- Infected gore pile
- Stationary turrets that fire cacodemon projectiles. They cannot be destroyed. The sprites used by this monster were created by SuperCupcakeTactics.
- Mucus pod
- More of an obstacle than a monster, these stationary green balls fire two Hell knight projectiles upon destruction.
- Tumor
- These serve as the end boss of the game and appear solely on MAP11. They utilize the "Shub-Niggurath" monster sprite from Maskim Xul.
In addition to these custom monsters, several of the monsters feature sprite replacements though are otherwise unchanged from their Doom II incarnations. The zombieman features the same stats as in Doom II but now drops a health bonus instead of an ammo clip.
