Dawn of Reality is a single-level PK3 for Doom II using the GZDoom source port that was released in November 2010. It was created by Reinchard and uses the music track "Cantus Excio" by Mark Snow, from The Truth and the Light: Music from the X-Files. Dawn of Reality attempts to recreate a real-life location, the city of Bytom in Poland, as closely as possible by taking into accounts the limitations of Doom mapping, resulting in a huge, sprawling level with plenty of custom textures and 3D models that help make it stand out among other urban maps.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the starting building, go down the steps and take the left door. Enter the room, then look back at the door you came from and shoot the face above it. When you do that, go north into the next room and the closet to the east will be open, containing rockets. (sector 372)
  2. Leave that building and go east down the street until you spot a black building (southeast of the building with the red door). Enter it and go up the steps, then take the north door in the hall. Press on the drawer in the southeast end to find a BFG9000. (sector 943)
  3. In the schoolyard north of the starting building, head north and open the door into the home directly north of the starting building. Enter the hall and take the furthest door on the right. Press on the marble face on the west wall to get a rocket, an ammo clip, shotgun shells, and two stimpacks. (sector 2725)
  4. At the central street (north of the building with Secret #3), go east to a gray building with two entrances, then enter the backyard of that building via the left side. In this backyard, use the face in the northwest corner to open the wall to the east. This room contains a backpack and two medikits. (sector 3118)
  5. Head to the southernmost street on the map and enter the alley going north. In this area with the shacks, jump on the barrels and up to the shacks to get a medikit and a plasma gun. (sector 4995)
