Deathball is a multiplayer Doom II mod created by Aerial and Matthew Krehbiel (Ghastly). First released for Zandronum on July 29, 2012, it is based upon the "Bombing Run" game mode found in Unreal Tournament 2004, featuring a team-based game in which each team has to gather a ball in the middle of the map which then has to be launched into the opposing team's scoring zone. In this way, the gameplay is quite similar to the one flag CTF mode present in Skulltag. Most of the maps originate from previous projects, edited to fit into Deathball's gameplay with the authors' permission.
