#doom2 is an IRC channel dedicated to the discussion of Doom II.
History[edit]
#doom2 was created in 1996 as an alternative to the existing channels #doom and #deathmatch. It featured a file server (FileSv^QS) maintained by Laura Herrmann (BahdKo) to distribute Doom demos.
Channel activity peaked around 1998-2000 and began to spin off into other channels and IRC networks.
The channel is generally inactive today.
