Doom 3 (2019 version)

From DoomWiki.org

Doom 3 was officially re-released in 2019 in a new official port by Panic Button, derived from the previous Doom 3: BFG Edition. This version is available on the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC (running Windows OS), via Xbox Game Pass[1] and, as of August 18, 2022, the Epic Games Store. It was also previously available on the now-defunct Bethesda.net digital store. Owners of that version were able to transfer the game to Steam, where it is known as Doom 3: Bethesda.net Edition, but this version of the game cannot otherwise be purchased on that platform.

The port was hailed as being of excellent quality for the consoles (especially compared to initially botched reissue of Doom and Doom II), offering a stable 60 FPS on the Microsoft and Sony consoles, and only minor slowdowns in the larger areas on the Switch. For the PC however it is considered inferior to both the original edition and the BFG Edition, due to the loss of the console, the multiplayer mode and its maps, and the BFG Edition's classic Doom games. The Nintendo Switch port was released as part of Bethesda's "Year of Doom" promotional campaign.

Compared to the BFG Edition, it does allow the player to re-enable dynamic shadows from the flashlight.
