Doom CD32X Fusion is a source port based off Doom 32X: Resurrection by the D32XR Team. It is a enhanced port of the Doom 32X Resurrection codebase to the Sega 32X video game system, utilizing the Sega CD addon.

History[edit]

Doom CD32X Fusion was born out of a desire to push the limits of the 32X. In order to bypass previous size limitations, the Sega CD, previously only used for full motion video games, was used. As such, CD32X Fusion requires a so-called Tower of Power setup – consisting of a Mega Drive/Genesis, a 32X, and the Sega CD add-on.

CD32X Fusion CD contains all maps from 32X Resurrection, The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and the first several maps of TNT: Evilution (all ripped directly from the original PC release with changes to account for the engine's limitations), amounting to about 100 maps in total. Provided the user has Doom + Doom II, CD image with the soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult can also be generated, adding over 2 hours of PCM music to the content.
