The Doom Level Design FAQ, also known by its file name DESIGN12.FAQ, is a document authored by Tom Neff, originating on the alt.games.doom Usenet newsgroup in 1994 with a minor contact update in 1997.

While dated to a degree due to not making reference to any utilities developed after 1994, the contents of the FAQ are still relevant to the process of editing maps for the Doom engine. Questions and answers are collected into the following categories:
