Doomed Space Wars is a episode replacement PWAD for Doom II that was released in September 2015 by Paul Corfiatis. The mapset is built for ZDoom, and contains 12 single player levels, as well as 10 bonus deathmatch levels.
As evidenced by the name, Doomed Space Wars is heavily inspired by Star Wars, and uses many textures from the videogame Star Wars: Dark Forces. Moreover, it contains some new enemies and items using DECORATE.
Doomed Space Wars was one of the runners-up for the 2015 Cacowards.

Custom monsters[edit]
In addition to utilizing the standard Doom II bestiary, there are several custom monsters.
- Dark trooper
- Dead security guards on board the space station that were resurrected by the hellspawn. Found exclusively in the green zone (140 hp).
- Security droid
- Another resurrected enemy on the space station. These floating mechanical squids move quickly and fire an extremely fast and painful ball of plasma (150 hp).
- Tortured soul
- A floating pain elemental variant that spits out dense, suffocating clouds of contaminated chlorine which will cause extreme pain to anything nearby. Not even a radiation suit will protect the player from taking damage from the clouds (400 hp).
- Sith hell knight
- A gray-skinned hell noble variant with hit points between that of the Hell knight and the baron of Hell (750 hp).
- Darkside cacodemon
- A super fast, hard to see, navy blue transparent cacodemon variant (800 hp).
- Giant cacodemon
- A rarely seen huge cacodemon that bursts into four normal cacodemons upon death (800 hp).
- Hectebus
- A harder to kill mancubus variant that fires powerful green fireballs. The hectebus can often stand toe-to-toe with the cyberdemon (1500 hp)
- Afrit
- A floating, legless and hard to kill baron of Hell variant with a variety of attacks that can devastate the player, if not careful (2000 hp).
- Chaos elemental
- A super fast, fireball spewing pain elemental variant that serves as the final boss. It occasionally shoots lost souls at the player and is often well camouflaged (6000 hp).
