Doomer Boards Projects

From DoomWiki.org

The Doomer Boards Projects (or DBP for short) are a month long mapping event created by Jon Vail (40oz) that take place every month on Doomer Boards. On the 1st of each month the current project leader will post a resource pack containing a set of custom textures, MIDIs, and sometimes new DeHackEd monsters and weapons. The projects are limit-removing episodes or megawads for Doom II. Starting with DBP59: Zeppelin Armada, some projects have a two-month development cycle.

Vail managed the first six Doomer Boards Projects until he stepped away from the Doom community completely in late 2018. Subsequent DBPs have had a variety of project leaders. In 2020, Vail returned to helm the 23rd installment.

The series as a whole has been well received, with the first six installments mentioned in the 2018 Cacowards under the "Recommend me a coffee break mapset" section. The series' 16th installment, Cyb's Freaky Colonoscopy, was one of the runners-up in the Cacowards 2019. The series' 37th installment, AUGER;ZENITH, was one of the runners-up in the Cacowards 2021.
