E1M1: Dying Time is the first map in the first episode of The Beginning of the End (part 1). It was designed by Emil Brundage (NaturalTvventy) and uses the music track " ".

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. At the south end, take the lift up, go east, then north to reach the switch. Use it to lower it, then use the wall to the north to get a plasma gun. (sector 92)
  2. After pressing the switch to get Secret #1, return to the starting point and enter the door to the right. Just before the next door, open the vine-covered wall between the metal ridges and shoot the barrels to get health bonuses, armor bonuses, and a box of shotgun shells. This area has four secrets. (sector 38)

  6. In the central room, the southwest wall is a lift. Use it and ride it up to get health and armor bonuses. (sector 85)
  7. Open the misaligned wall next to the exit door to find a health bonus and a teleporter back. (sector 79)
