E1M2: Genesis of Descent Pt 1 is the second map of Genesis of Descent. It was designed by Nick Laurent (hobomaster22) and uses the Doom 64 music track "Relentless Coil" (converted to Ogg by Elbryan42).

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the central part of the main area, between the barrels that blow up the wall and the elevator, there is a small alcove with a switch. Pressing it will lower health bonuses and ammo clips. (sector 967)
  2. In the big area with tubes full of slime and hanging bodies (the western part of the main area) go south and climb up the acid. At the end of the corridor you will find a backpack, a medikit, and armor bonuses. (sector 2058)
  3. There is a switch near the previous secret. Pressing it will open the nearby wall, with health and armor bonuses behind. (sector 4614)
  4. In the corridor before the square-shaped hall surrounding a big pool of slime, press the part of the eastern wall where it goes white and you will find an elevator. Using it will lead you to health and armor bonuses, ammo clips, and shotgun shells. (sector 4631)
  5. In the hallway mentioned in secret #4, you can jump to the slime pool from the northern side of the hallway. (sector 1045) At the bottom, you will find a medikit, a box of shotgun shells, and two cacodemons.
  6. East of the secret #5 is a room full of crates flooded with slime. At the easternmost part of the area are three crates. Jump to the northernmost one to find a box of shotgun shells. (sector 1833)
  7. After dealing with the first batch of evil marines, you will notice that you can climb up the crane in the area where you were attacked. At the top, jump east to a megaarmor. (sector 1802)
  8. Near the final area (the southwestern part of the main area) you will find the red skull key. After grabbing it, go back to the northwestern part of the main area, and open the red skull door to find BFG9000. (sector 4722)
