E1M3: Toxin Refinery is the third map in the Knee-Deep in the Dead episode of Wonderful Doom. It was designed by Eugene Guschin (Wraith777).

Secrets[edit]

  1. Open the door at the start and open the door at the east side. Grab the shotgun to the left, then return to the previous room. Near the starting door, the nukage pit is now open. Drop in and go to the north wall, which will lower. You will find a backpack. (sector 183)
  2. Press on the back wall in Secret #1 to find a lift with stimpacks. Ride this lift up and open the wall there to reach the central secret room with health and armor bonuses scattered around. (sector 22)
  3. At the south end of Secret #2 is a lit area with a medikit. Going into this lit area will lower the southwest wall (where you came from if you came from Secret #1) as well as the northwest wall (where an ammo clip is located). Quickly run to the northwest wall and open it while it is down to find a passage with a box of rockets, a chainsaw, and a medikit. Note that the wall at the end of this passage requires the red key. (sector 37)
  4. Return to Secret #2 and enter the inner part of it with rockets, health bonuses, and a box of shotgun shells. A switch is in the middle. After using it, head to the east side of Secret #2 to find a passage going south with health bonuses and rockets. Press on the wall at the end to access the southeast nukage pool which has a soul sphere. (sector 152)
  5. Head north from Secret #2 and take the lift down. At the end of the passage, open the wall with slime to find a chaingun, a box of ammo, and armor bonuses. You can also access this secret from the east side of the map, by going west, down the steps, and opening the west wall at the bottom. Note that if you want to go to Secret #2 from this direction, follow the path of water nearby to a switch, then quickly run back to the secret to access the passage. (sector 106)
  6. Open the wall with slime south of Secret #5 to find health bonuses, shotgun shells, and a switch that lowers a megaarmor. (sector 188)
  7. At the east end of the map, descend the steps to the west and grab the health bonus to the south. This causes a lift to lower. Run north and northeast into a lit area with stimpacks and a box of rockets before it closes. (sector 40)
  8. In the southwest room, enter the nukage and head to the southwest side, where a wall will lower with a rocket launcher, rockets, and armor bonuses behind it. (sector 66)
  9. In Secret #8, press on the wall with the poison sign for another secret area containing health bonuses, rockets, and a switch. (sector 87)
  10. After using the switch in Secret #9, leave both secret rooms and take the northwest set of the steps leading down. At the bottom, there will the an open passage at the southwest. This leads to a medikit, a box of rockets, and the secret exit door. (sector 164)
