E1M4: Canyon Encampment is the fourth map of Elf Gets Pissed. It was designed by Matt Cibulas (RottKing).

Walkthrough

Map of Canyon Encampment

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. Head to the cave east of the starting point and use the wall with vines to find a quartz flask, lesser runes, and three Time Bombs of the Ancients. (sector 74)
2. In the intersection with the green door to the east, open the recessed wall on the west side to find two Time Bombs of the Ancients, two crystal vials, an enchanted shield, and an energy orb. (sector 128)
3. At the curved staircase at the south end, get to the left side and use the small steps to get above the staircase. Head to the east side to find a loose brick to step on, which lowers the fire brazier in the middle. Behind it you can find a phoenix rod and flame orbs. (sector 168)
4. In the central valley you will find a large rock with a section cut inside with an inferno orb and disciples of D'Sparil inside. You can get to this rock from the ones to the left or right of it. It is better to use the rocks on the right side, as they are closer. (sector 33)
5. At the south end of the main valley where the dragon claw is, drop to the rocks below but not to the ground, then head northeast and head behind a crate. Use the east wall to find a lift, then enter the room behind it to find flame orbs, a wand crystal, ethereal arrows, a quartz flask, a Morph Ovum, and Time Bombs of the Ancients. (sector 331)
6. At the south end of the main valley where the dragon claw is, go northwest of where the dragon claw is located and press on the southwest corner of the metal column to find a Morph Ovum. (sector 86)
7. Flip the switch for the lift that leads to the green key area, but instead of taking the lift, run north, northeast, and southeast into a room with Time Bombs of the Ancients, a shadowsphere, a crystal vial, flame orbs, and a switch. (sector 260)
8. The switch in Secret #7 opens a wall behind this secret area. Head back northwest, southwest a bit, then all the way southeast and northeast to a Bag of Holding. If you have the gold key, you can find the blue key beyond the door here. (sector 237)
9. After you get the blue key from Secret #8, go back to Secret #2 and open the back wall. Make a jump to the east through more vines to find claw orbs, a quartz flask, and a path to the secret exit. (sector 82)
