E1M5: Dungeons of Doom is the fifth level of Infinity. It was designed by Björn Hermans and Holger Nathrath, and uses the music track "".

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Open the metal wall next to the window in front of you, then follow the passage round to a door and open it to enter a room with a T-shaped nukage pool. Open the easternmost door in this room to face one or two shotgun guys, then enter the nukage pool in front of you and pass through the openings to your left and right to find a teleporter at the back of the room. Enter the teleporter to get outside, then go through the doorway on the north side and walk east past a shotgun guy and zombieman to a door that leads to an octagonal junction. Go through the east door of the junction to find some zombies guarding the blue skull key, then pick it up to open a monster closet with imps and a demon. A second closet with more monsters will also open in the outdoor area.

Retrace your steps to the hall with the T-shaped pool, then go through the north-western door and follow the passage to a blue door. Go through this door, arm yourself then go through another door to your left—you will be ambushed by two groups of monsters in the room ahead, and the exits will close to block your escape. Enter the northern closet to open a compartment with a switch, which will open the exits, then go through the west door to enter a room with several caged monsters. The red skull key is on a pedestal at the west end of the room.

Go back to the room with the T-shaped pool and open the south-eastern door to enter the N room, then step through the nukage to reach the red door at the south-west end. The exit switch is behind this door, guarded by an imp.

Other points of interest[edit]

The outdoor area has a block with a supercharge. Press the button on the west side of the block to lower it.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the octagonal intersection at the north-east part of the map, go north into a room with demons in cages that will be crushed as you approach them. Three secrets can be found in this room. (sector 206)
  2. See secret #1. (sector 216)

  4. After grabbing the blue key, return to the outdoor portion of the map to find a whole compartment full of monsters open. There is also a box of rockets, a medikit, and an armor inside this compartment as well. (sector 163)
  5. If you go to the northern and southern parts of the red key room, you can find two defunct teleporters with supplies on them. The northern one has a plasma gun while the southern one has an energy cell pack. (sector 200)
  6. See secret #5. (sector 201)
  7. After entering the red key room, backtrack the way you came until you pass through the blue door. A compartment with an imp has opened in the passage here. (sector 75)
  8. In the "N" room, go to the south-east corner and press on the differently textured metal wall to access the cage with the megaarmor and box of shotgun shells. (sector 104)
