E1M5: Excavating Evil is the fifth map of Forsaken Compound. It was designed by ivymagnapinna and uses the music track "Reaching Deeper" by Tristan Clark, from TNT: Revilution.

Walkthrough

Map of Excavating Evil

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. In the starting area, go to the northeast of six columns and use the switch at its north side. This opens a passage to the west leading to a soul sphere. (sector 107)
2. Enter the caged area to the south of the central room. A hidden switch is on the north end of the right column. Flipping it lowers one of the crates, containing rockets, an energy cell pack, and a backpack. (sector 204)
