Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Kill the zombiemen in front of you, then open the door they were guarding to face some shotgun guys. Climb up the steps on the east side of the room to reach the upper level, then go through the doorway on the west side to reach a junction and go north and east to find a switch. Flip the switch, return to the previous room and open the northern door to find that the western wall has lowered, revealing steps going down to a nukage pool. Climb up the gray steps on the west side of the pool to another switch and flip it to lower the pillar in the center holding the blue keycard.
Go back up the steps you just used and follow the hallway north-east to a blue door, pass through it to get outside then head through another door in the north-west corner to see one or two imps guarding the yellow keycard. Take the key, then go back to the blue key room and open the yellow door at the north end to find imps and demons guarding a staircase. Climb the stairs and take the radiation shielding suit at the top, then walk north past some imps and zombiemen to an exit door. Go through the door and drop into the nukage below, then run west to some steps that have risen to get to a platform with a switch and a teleporter. Flip the switch, enter the teleporter to return to the exit door then open it again to find that a bridge has risen leading to the actual exit. The door to the exit switch will open as you approach, and two or three spectres will be released to defend it.
Other points of interest[edit]
From the blue key room, go through the west door to enter another nukage pool and run through it to enter a chamber with a staircase and a switch; the switch drains the nukage so you can pass through that room safely. Climb the stairs to the top, where you will see the wall ahead open to reveal a baron of Hell guarding the red keycard. With this key, go back to the junction west of the starting area and open the west door followed by a red door behind it; the steps behind this door lead to a plasma gun, which is guarded by spectres, imps, lost souls and one or two barons.
Secrets[edit]
- Behind the blue doors is a nukage moat - you can step across the narrow ledge on the moat's east side to reach a radiation suit which will help you get a couple of secrets. Follow the moat south until you reach an open area with some imps, then go to the south end to collect a computer area map, a chaingun and a box of bullets. (sector 35)
- From secret #1, go north into a tunnel and follow it until you see a button on the west wall. Press the button to find a medikit and a box of rockets, and a rocket launcher at the top of some steps. (sector 175) The button next to the rocket launcher opens on to the corridor north of the starting area.
- After pressing the button in secret #2, return to the starting point; if you have not already done so, take the shotgun at the top of the steps to open a hallway with three spectres. The northern wall in this hallway has opened, revealing a staircase that leads up to a switch. (sector 107) The switch lowers a pillar in the neighboring room holding a supercharge.
- In secret #3, open the green section of the eastern wall to find a backpack. (sector 127)
- Approaching the yellow door opens a wall to the south-east. Take the radiation suit behind this wall, then go down the steps to a nukage moat and walk south to a switch, which will lower a platform behind you holding a partial invisibility and a megaarmor. (sector 287) The switch also opens a teleporter to the north that goes back to the blue key room.
- From secret #5, follow the nukage north and north-east to some yellow bars. If you have the yellow key, you can open the bars to get the BFG9000 behind them. (sector 340)
