E1M8: Cavern Base is the eighth map in episode Last Resort of The Joy of Mapping 4: Summer School. It was designed by TheMightyHeracross and uses the music track "Blood Jungle," originally composed by Jonathan El-Bizri for TNT: Evilution. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 2:00.

Secrets[edit]
- Head south from the first field and into the cave. At the corner, open the east wall where the candle is to get rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 145)
- In the cave south of the bridge area, go through the north waterfall to find a megaarmor and a berserk pack. (sector 223)
- After raising the bridge, go on it and jump to the island south of it. Go into the teleporter and head northwest to get a plasma gun. (sector 70)
- In the room north of the starting room, open the north wall to find a yellow key. (sector 410)
