E1M8: Satan's Dychedral is the eighth and final map of No Sleep for the Dead. It was designed by Jan Van der Veken and uses the music track "Sign of Evil" by Bobby Prince.

Go down the steps and collect the backpack at the bottom, then head into the next room which contains a blood pit with armor. Blow up the barrels around the pit to help you kill the demons (plus spectres on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher), then kill any imps coming down the stairs before collecting the weapons and ammo in the east and west chambers. Climb the stairs to find some more imps, plus a baron of Hell on Ultra-Violence (UV) or Nightmare (NM); watch out for spectres coming up the stairs behind you as well.

Go through the north doorway to get outside to an area with a wide bridge over blood, where more barons are waiting - one across the bridge on I'm Too Young To Die (ITYTD) and Hey Not Too Rough (HNTR), two across the bridge on HMP, or two either side of you on UV and NM. Once the barons are dead, a barrier on the other side of the bridge will lower and reveal a cyberdemon - go across the bridge to collect a supercharge, a megaarmor and several energy cells and boxes of rockets to help you. You will also find a BFG9000 at the entrance to the cyberdemon's chamber on HMP or lower; on UV and NM the weapon is placed under the cyberdemon instead. An invulnerability powerup can also be found under the cyberdemon on ITYTD and HNTR.

Once the cyberdemon is dead, go into its chamber and open the exit door. Cross the blood behind it to a switch (watching out for a spectre ambush on HMP or higher) and press the switch to raise a staircase. Climb the stairs to the top and a wall ahead will lower; a number of demons will teleport into the area ahead, and on HMP or higher you will also face cacodemons emerging from holes on either side. Once all the monsters are destroyed, head forward and collect the berserk pack then climb the stairs and step into the marble teleporter to finish the game.

  2. In the room with the blood pit surrounded by barrels, head for the south-west corner and follow the passage to get a plasma gun. (sector 136)
