E1M8: The Techbase Level Nobody Asked For is the eighth map in episode The Outer Station of The Joy of Mapping 6: Joy Eternal. It was designed by Orka, who also composed the level's music track, "The Techbass Nobody Asked For". The par time defined in MAPINFO is 10:00.

Walkthrough

Secrets

1. In the room with a bridge and four columns, take the north steps. When a compartment north of you opens, backtrack and jump on the northeast lamp, then to the compartment with a switch. Press it and quickly run back up the steps, then south to a lowered block which has shotgun shells and a super shotgun. (sector 108)
2. Grab the red key and quickly run south to get a soul sphere from the lowered panel. (sector 230)
3. In the room with the nukage pool, enter the northeast alcove with a radiation suit and use the monitor to reveal a plasma gun and a megaarmor. (sector 301)
4. In the larger nukage pit, dive down and go through a corridor to the east. Surface to the south to get a backpack and an energy cell pack. (sector 319)
