Essentials[edit]

Take the megaarmor in front of you, flip the switch to open the door next to it then climb the steps to an area with several circular silos. Head to the lift platform on the north side of the level and drop down the holes either side of it to land in nukage, then quickly head north to find the blue keycard. A wall will open behind you to reveal some imps and zombies - push past them to the lift which will lower as you approach, and ride it back up to ground level.

By now it is likely that three silos will have opened (they close when the level starts then open 30 seconds later), revealing a chaingun inside each silo along with several monsters. Go to the lift platform on the east side of the level and drop down the holes either side of it to land in more nukage, then head east to find the red keycard underneath a blue block which you will need to open. This time, when you approach the key three walls will open to reveal more zombies, imps and demons - take the key then push past them to the lift which will lower as you approach, and ride it back up to ground level. An alcove containing more monsters will have opened to the north, so be ready for trouble as you ride the lift up.

Now go to the lift on the west side of the level and drop down the holes next to it to land in a third nukage pit, then head west to find the yellow keycard under a red block. This time, when you approach the key you will be ambushed by monsters on all sides - take the key quickly then head east to the lift which you can ride back up to ground level, where numerous closets have opened to release a large number of monsters (they also open for a few moments five minutes after the level starts). Go to the silo on the south side of the level and step through the nukage either side of it to find an exit door which requires the yellow key, open it and flip the switch behind the door to move on to E1M4: Abandoned Factory.

Other points of interest[edit]

The central area of the level contains three partial invisibility pickups, a backpack and numerous ammo pickups. A shotgun can be found behind the starting silo.

When you first get outside you will see floors lowering inside two of the silos. These floors take just over two minutes to reach the ground, revealing a rocket launcher, radiation shielding suit and two rockets inside each silo along with various monsters.

Secrets[edit]

  1. You have to wait five minutes after the level starts for the central silo to open. When it does, fight your way through the monsters before the silo shuts again and use the pipes in the middle to find a supercharge. (sector 29)
